NTPC had proposed to raise up to Rs 18,000 crore through the issue of bonds/debentures on a private placement basis.

We head not only into weekly options expiry, but also monthly derivative expiry on Thursday. Given the current technical setup and looking at the options data for September expiry, it is unlikely that Nifty may see any serious drawdown.
