The Nifty IT index has risen over 200 per cent since April 2020 led by spectacular gains in constituents like Infosys, Wipro, Tata Consultancy Services and others.

A total of 14,747 shares changed hands on the counter till 01:31PM (IST).

The stock traded at a P/E multiple of 26.16, while the price-to-book value ratio stood at 3.36.

Promoters held 48.08 per cent stake in the company as of 08-Sep-2021, while FII and DII ownership stood at 27.41 per cent and 8.8 per cent, respectively.

ITC shares have been dormant for a long time, even when its peers were delivering multibagger returns. Analysts, though, were unfazed saying its fundamentals are intact and the stock deserves better valuations.

In the spot market, highest purity gold was sold at Rs 47,487 per 10 gram while silver was priced at Rs 62,136 per kg on Tuesday, according to the Indian Bullion and Jewellers Association.

As of 30-Jun-2021, promoters held 46.86 per cent stake in the company, while FIIs held 11.26 per cent and domestic institutional investors had 8.47 per cent.

The stock traded at a P/E multiple of 61.94, while the price-to-book value ratio stood at 6.51.
