The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 14.09 points, or 0.04 per cent, at the open to 35,833.65.

The Nifty Realty index was trading 3.56 per cent up at 516.45.

The consolidated net loss reported by the company was higher than analysts’ estimate of Rs 3,451.9 crore net loss.

"Gold prices traded steady with spot gold prices at COMEX trading flat at USD 1,783 per ounce on Monday," according to HDFC Securities, Senior Analyst (Commodities), Tapan Patel.

“People normally tend to go towards Mumbai-based realty but we are looking beyond that because we believe that real estate story has started moving after 12 years.”

The wood products player zoomed 13 per cent to Rs 236.10 ahead of its board meeting scheduled on November 9, when the company will announce its earnings for the quarter ended on September 30, 2021.

Unlike the past when such an announcement would freak out the investors of Airtel and Voda Idea, this time around it provided relief.

The index is still trading below its 20-day moving averages and, hence, it is too early to conclude that bottom is in place at the recent low of 17,613 level, said Mazhar Mohammad at Chartviewindia.in

The bonds are to be issued for aggregate total issue size of Rs 3,000 crore in single or multiple tranches, the bank said in a regulatory filing.

“I believe we have passed the bottom part of the curve as far as supply is concerned. The situation as far as the semiconductor supply is concerned is still very dynamic and while there seems to have been a good improvement in the past few weeks, we will have to wait and watch very carefully because the situation is quite dynamic.”
